Bin the CSET Busway

The Β£162 million Cambridge South East Transport (CSET) busway is a disastrous project that threatens to tear up our countryside while failing to deliver the transport improvements local people actually need.

At a packed meeting in Great Shelford Memorial Hall, I made it clear: If I become Mayor, this busway will NOT happen. Instead, we need real solutions that work.

🚫 SCRAP the GCP – The Greater Cambridge Partnership has pushed through bad ideas for too long.
🚫 BIN the Busway – Our countryside should not be sacrificed for an expensive, unwanted project.
βœ… BACK the Alternative – A better bus route using the existing road infrastructure.
βœ… BUILD Light Rail – A long-term transport solution that actually benefits Cambridge and beyond.

This election is a chance to stop the busway before it’s too late. But I need to hear from you.
