SCRAP THE GCP
The Greater Cambridge Partnership was set up before the Mayoralty. These are the guys behind Congestion Charging for Cambridge, a Busway that ploughs through Coton Orchard and many other unpopular schemes designed to make it more difficult to het around Cambridge and South Cambs.
They are not elected - loathe scrutiny and avoid transparency. The time to scrap the hated GCP is now.
The current deal expires in two years. But with Government plans for devolution, this election should act as a referendum on no new GCP renewal, no more millions wasted and give these powers to an elected Mayor.
