The Labour Mayor said he wouldn’t introduce a tax “precept”, but he did. Our Council Tax went up by an average £36. Now he’s suggesting an increase of 4.99%.
His consultation on the entire Cambridgeshire & Peterborough budget (linked here) tries to hide this question. The Mayor knows that most people won’t read and complete all that.
Worse, he was only allowing responses until the week before Christmas! Our council leaders forced him to extend the deadline.
Our tax has gone up enough already. If you enter your views on the precept below, we will automatically submit them to the consultation.
Every response will count — but please do it now, as the deadline is Monday, 6 January!
Please provide your name and address so that we can submit your response to the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. We will include your name and address in the responses to the consultation.
