MPs yesterday debated the new Borders Bill.
I spoke about my wife’s grandfather who came to Britain as a refugee after WW2. I am sure he would support efforts for a fair, controlled and transparent system and would reject Labour’s chaotic open border policy.
My office helps genuine asylum seekers with compassion and empathy, and I praised those who support refugees in #Peterborough, but made the case for controlled borders and a fair system to end the current madness.
