I have met with stallholders and they are pleading for a constructive relationship with the Council - where they can discuss service charges and rent.
I do not understand why the Council won’t engage constructively. I have appealed to them to do this.
I am really worried about the market stalls on Bridge Street.
The increased footfall is fantastic - but the revenue uplift is just not covering what the Council are now demanding in increased rent and service charges.
There is no plan. They don’t know what they’re doing.
