Back in 2019 - just before I became our MP - I produced a plan for #Peterborough. 💙
- BUILD A HIGH SKILL, HIGH WAGE ECONOMY - £30 million plus for our University which is up-skilling our young people, and the research hub will bring jobs
- INVESTING IN OUR NHS - we got the money for a new Community Diagnostic Centre that will deliver 67,000 extra checks and scans a
- FLY-TIPPING - the Council have invested in covert CCTV cameras that are catching offenders - who are being prosecuted. We need to go faster and further and clean up our City.
- EXTRA POLICE - Cambridgeshire has an extra 145 police officers since 2019. They need to be on the beat catching criminals and deterring crime.
- BETTER SCHOOLS - results are up across the board in Peterborough and we are building new schools in Manor Drive, and expanding Heltwate School in Bretton.
- REGENERATING OUR CITY CENTRE - together we secured £23 million for City Centre regeneration and a whopping £48 million to build a new Station Quarter. This wil create hundreds of jobs and build a new Gateway into our City.
Peterborough is turning a corner. Our plan is working. A lot done, a lot to do!
