It’s devastating that after everyone’s work the Council are proceeding with their appalling decision to fence off Werrington Fields.
The facts are these:
- The proposal is exactly the same one that caused uproar in January
- No lease has been signed with the school - the Council can put in conditions around fencing if it so chooses
- The Council can reject, amend or approve any planning application it receives.
At first they said it was a Government decision. They were proven wrong. Now they are saying it’s the school’s decision.
They have not transferred the land. It is entirely their decision. I cannot understand why they are behaving like this.
If the Werrington councillors (who run the Council) will not say no, they should get out of the way for councillors who will.
Own and defend - or say no!
