The best thing we can do for safety on the A47 is to dual the road between Wisbech and Peterborough.
Highways England are proposing to spend £5 million to:
👉 A47 Thorney Toll to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire - 40mph at certain points and 50mph at others
👉 A47 Welland Road Roundabout to Thorney Toll, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire - 50mph (except the dual carriage way)
They have issued a consultation document.

We do need to improve safety - and car accident on Wednesday night was a tragedy.
