Labour insist on Voter ID in their own internal elections - but think it is bad for public elections.
If you are voting at a polling station in this year’s local elections (4 May) Don’t forget to bring photo ID.
If you don’t have a form of photo ID you can apply for a FREE voter ID document known as a Voter Authority Certificate.
