Our campaign to get the hotel stood down as a migrant hostel was successful - despite the naysayers.
It would be a mistake to spend £70 million on building a brand new Station Quarter and a gateway to Peterborough - and not include the Great Northern.
If not included, the owners (who ket us down) and the voices in Labour who want it to be a permanent migrant hostel will win.
A migrant hostel in the middle of a generational opportunity for regeneration would be a disaster.
