Peterborough recently celebrated 50 years of Gladca - an organisation that has done so much for our City.
But the Council have suggested that they may auction off their home to the highest bidder.
GLADCA own 316 Gladstone Street and lease 318 from the Council - with over 30 years left. Both properties have been joined together to create a bigger building - and from there they provide classes, advice and support services.
Astonishingly the Council leadership have not met with or explained their plans to GLADCA - and told them they may go to auction.
This ineptitude and rudeness has consequences for an organisation like GLADCA. They need certainty in order to bid for funding from external organisations. It is worth noting they get nothing from the City Council.
I have emailed both Conservative and Labour councillors representing Millfield communities asking them to join forces to back GLADCA and get the certainty they deserve.
