In black and white the Secretary of State makes it clear a decision to fence all, some or none of Werrington Fields is a matter entirely for the local Council. And it also confirms the Council were told this three weeks ago!
The Council are quickly losing their reputation for trustworthiness. The new Independent councillors should start telling the truth to the people of Werrington. They are in charge. This is their decision.
It is time for these independent councillors to get off the fence and say no to the Council Officers. If they won’t and refuse to bring back the original compromise, they should justify their fence plans to local people.
