It was excellent meeting with residents and councillors from the village to discuss the consultation on reserved matters - relating to the Eyebury Road development.
I shall be drafting a letter in response to this consultation.
We also discussed the local plan, new homes, and local public services. Enough is enough when it comes to yet more houses in Eye.
We need more homes - especially for young families. But Eye has grown so much in the last few years. 7 new estates and population growth by 1,621 over 20 years to 5,400 residents - rising to 6,100 after the Eyebury Road development.
Roads are jammed, infrastructure is struggling, and we need to protect the “Green Wedge” between the village and #Peterborough.
The new homes Peterborough needs should not go to Eye.
I shall work with local councillors, the Parish Council, and local residents for a fair deal for Eye. Thank you to Dale McKean for all his help.
