Maybe some good news?
Our campaign gathered hundreds of signatures and saw mountains of correspondence between our Cambridgeshire Mayor and my office.
We asked him to stop spending all our bus money in Cambridge - and subsidise this much needed connection between the two villages and #Peterborough. Most recently, I raised again with Stagecoach when I visited their depot.
Well, it seems there is a proposal to:
- Extend the half hourly No 4 service to include Thorney & Eye
- It would also run through Parnwell, to Queensgate, and the Hospital.
Devil in the detail - but this seems to be good news. I shall now write to the Mayor asking for a firm commitment to the Autumn timeline and make sure it is not watered down. We have been listened to!
