I told MPs in Parliament that far too many autistic people and those with learning disabilities do not receive the care they need.
I was appalled to read in the Telegraph about Sonia Deleon, and the do not resuscitate’ order that lead to her death. The reason given on the the order about why CPR would be unsuccessful was ‘learning disability’.
This is appalling and needs a through investigation - things like this should never be allowed to happen. 💙
